The only AWE release I own at present is Emanuelle And The Last Cannibals, although I plan on picking up their release of Stage Fright as I have heard it is the version to get (and I love that film). Out of interest, what is the difference between AWE's version of Coffy and the MGM version that I have. Both are listed at 86 minutes - although Amazon lists the MGM one at 92 for some reason - and both are 1.85:1 ratio. I think the MGM one looks pretty good for a £2 budget DVD and I even like the cover, but if the AWE one is vastly superior I may be tempted to pay the premium.

I have the AWE Stage Fright release and it is a very decent transfer - definitely recommended.

Cool - I'm just about to order it in the next week or so . I used to have the UK version (can't remember who put that one out) and I'm hoping this is a step up as I don't remember my old copy being anything special PQ wise.

pretty much...no animals that appear in the film were harmed or suffered from violence

I thought that but since animals are actually harmed in this film I thought it might have been something else.
