Ooh, when it arrives, or when caps appear, could you post them here? I'm very curious about this, but I don't want to risk buying it, especially with the shipping

bdc 30th November 2013 08:42 AM

Will do.

bdc 30th November 2013 06:29 PM

Voices From Beyond blu:
"Apparently, the Timecode Lockout preventing anything but chapter-skipping is actually a bug that crops up by hitting "Pop-up Menu" - which, as discussed, simply re-starts the film. When you start the disc normally, functions like PAUSE and FF are perfectly accessible. Whether or not the controls are locked out after a re-start completely may vary from player to player - I can confirm that's how a recently updated US PS3 handled it, in any case."

Panic over! My HD copy of JBD arrived yesterday, thank God. However, i noticed the package was a bit bulky so imagine my surprise when i opened the jiffy bag only to find a copy of the Voices From Beyond BR in there too and i never even ordered it!

So it looks like i'll be contacting Bill a.s.a.p. to put him in the picture.:)

Bill had a little fun with these 2 public domain films. ;)

So I'm guessing with the numbers...

001 - The Electric Chair
002 - Voices From Beyond
003 - Nail Gun Massacre
004 - Just Before Dawn

Loved Just Before Dawn, fantastic blu ray, I think it was worth the $64 alone, mainly because fantastic movie, very good transfer and both versions.

Voices From Beyond, I've only seen about 30 minutes so far, and the grain on the transfer is super thick, and the credits glowed and left trails. But pretty good I suppose for an Italian film. So far the movie isn't too bad, but the random ghost voice overs made me burst out in hysterics.

I'm sorry, but no film is worth that much cash

The most I've ever payed for a single film in a set is about $45.

Single disc, probably not much less, as it was a Twilight Time disc from SAE.

But I loved Just Before Dawn, and I love having this blu ray on my shelf, I don't even know what the massive appeal about it is, I just love it.

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 4th December 2013 11:15 PM

Knowing how Bill sometimes is, I feel 'The Electric Chair' is one of his little jokes (I feel he will have something really great for his #1 spine number).

If not, then he can build a full size replica electric chair or two out of his remaining stock!

fuzzymctiger 5th December 2013 12:08 AM

I have a feeling 005 will be a blu ray release of Nightmare, as he has stated working on the HD of it, and doing new interviews.

Very much looking forward to this

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 5th December 2013 03:45 AM

Whilst not exactly confirmed, I think BDs of Messiah of Evil, Nightmare, and The Redeemer could be on their way from Code Red.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 5th December 2013 04:55 PM

Redeemer?
On blu ray?-That's madness!

INVEST IN THE SLAYER!

bdc 5th December 2013 06:21 PM

Why not,I like The Redeemer? ;)
Btw there could possibly be better materials available for the blu.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 5th December 2013 08:24 PM

Yeah it's not bad.I still have it.
But look at some of the other classic CR titles that could have been put out on hi def.

Anyone who knows me will KNOW exactly which title I'm talking about........

It could be that VFB was produced in a much smaller batch to JBD, so maybe Bill wants to hang on to all of his stock of that one (?)

bdc 12th December 2013 06:19 PM

VFB is very limited but maybe ask Diabolik on their Facebook page?

bdc 13th December 2013 06:11 PM

Cliff and Bill make a deal:

https://scontent-b-cdg.xx.fbcdn.net/...95367152_n.jpg

**BREAKING: TWO TITLE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 2014!** Fans of early 80s school-themed horror films are in luck with this news. 1981's college campus slasher film FINAL EXAM and 1982's satanic revenge epic EVILSPEAK (starring Clint Howard) will both be making their debuts on Blu-ray both for the first time this Summer! These titles have been with Code Red - another long-time cult film home entertainment company - for some time and we are pleased that we were able to make a deal with them for these two guilty pleasures. Expect the same extras that were on the prior Code Red DVD releases to be imported over. More details on street date and if any more extras are planned will be revealed in the new year.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 13th December 2013 10:29 PM

Even though I have both of these on DVD.I'll be upgrading these.

Brothers eh?

"Two big boxes of Code Red DVD titles in the mail today and up on the site. We are up to date on all of the new releases including Voices from Beyond and Just Before Dawn on both DVD and Blu-Ray! Hoping 2014 is another great year for Code Red releases!"

Code Red @ Diabolik

bdc 24th December 2013 11:28 AM

Over at the Code Red Big Cartel Shop older titles have been added including SLITHIS, PEOPLE WHO OWN THE DARK, VAMPIRE'S NIGHT ORGY/DR. JEKYLL vs. THE WEREWOLF, MESSIAH OF EVIL and much more.

"OVERSEAS CUSTOMER! i will mail it next week. so please don't turn weird on me. I got one email today from a customer asking for his Blu that he ordered on the 9th. It's Christmas, so please realize that I am a one man operation and I do not have elves working for me." (Bill/CR)

BAKA 24th December 2013 01:06 PM

Thanks for the heads up bdc, just ordered both Code Red Blu-rays, along with some other assorted goodies. First time ordering with Diabolik, but as they're customs friendly, and apparently package well, I may well use them more often. Especially if the Code Red store keeps it's insane stance of refusing to replace or refund international orders that go lost in the post.

I just hope Diabolik are able to carry all of CR's Blu-rays.
