Satanic Rites is wonderful. As has been stated, this is crying out for a decent ( Blu-ray? ) release.

Talking of which, here is some more Hammer Blu-ray news, including some Rasputin info:

Indeed. Every morning I'm tempted to sneak a few photos, but I'm too scared of Pinewood's strict no photography rules . . .

A tweet from Hammer...

Yesterday we filmed interviews w/ Melvyn Hayes, Philip Voss and David Prowse re. Frankensteins "Curse" & "Monster From Hell"!

Sounding like these will be sooner rather than later.

Good news about the next titles. I was wondering when they might appear. I'm also hoping for (at least) Dracula this side of Halloween as well.

You can never tell. Hopefully Monster from Hell will be with us shortly.

The BBC recorded commentaries and interviews with various actors/directors etc for their Doctor Who dvd's some years in advance of them being released. Due to health reasons and ages of the various people.

Curse is definitely bring readied. This is what they had to say about it in March..

This week we reviewed the raw 4k scan of THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, in addition to a D3 tape from the BBC of their legacy broadcast version of the title. As we tweeted yesterday, sadly the raw 4k scan does not include either the Close-Up of the eyeball or any additional footage from the acid bath scene, however the D3 does contain the CU of the eyeball. Although the results may not prove successful, we are going to perform a test on upscaling the D3 footage to HD in order to see how it integrates into the 2k restoration from the 4k scan. We’ll let you know how we get on!

They've also been tweeting that they'll have 'exciting news' about Dracula soon.

They should do tokens in each blu to send off for a natty boxset to put em all in when the collection is complete (rather than have to sell em all when the inevitable uber boxset gets released) . . .
