It's a nice price too and I never got the individual volumes although the Amazon review for Past Forgetting says that he really barely touches on Hammer and Amicus which is a shame.

Anyone know what the reverse cover of The Vampire Lovers is like?

Doesn't have one. Only Scream Factory collector's editions are getting reversible covers.

Actually if you read the review there are pictures of other posters for the film on the reverse but you are right no reversible cover

One of my favourite Hammer Frankenstein films. Also, not mentioned yet, but The Witches is also being released the same day and is up for pre-order, for those who are interested. |

How did you guys find the quality of the new FINAL CUT blu rays? I thought EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN definitely had the better PQ, in fact it was quite impressive. BRIDES OF DRACULA was a bit disappointing though, very heavy grain quite often and a lack of fine detail, but good vibrant colours and an improvement over the US DVD from what I remember of it. Overall I'm pretty happy, no sign of any weird DNR type of thing and I'm guessing in general its pretty difficult to make these old hammer films sparkle... none of the HD versions so far out on blu have really dazzled, with the exception of StudioCanals QUATERMASS perhaps, so perhaps a combination of age and stock types/low shooting budgets mean these films will never look as good as Hollywood productions from the same era often do on blu ray. I'm guessing the budgets for the restorations aren't comparable between the two either.
