I thought that the 87 minute version was the longest available, what’s cut from it?

Not sure if these scenes below are cut but the above definitely is. The original UK cinema print was cut by the BBFC to heavily edit the opening sacrifice scene, 2 staking scenes and the electrocution of a guard (the proposed cuts to the shooting of Torrence were never made). Not sure what is on the R0 OOP Anchor Bay DVD release as I do not have that one. The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973) - Alternate Versions - IMDb |

According to DVD Compare, all DVD versions are the UK print, I never realised it was cut, I have the RO Echo Bridge DVD with the Dracula: The Satanic Rites title and the PQ is terrible

I have two off air recordings. One is the BBC1 transmission (in widescreen) but slightly cut (the breast staking ) and one from a Channel 4 showing (in fullscreen) with all previous cuts intact. |

I have the Anchor Bay release. It is uncut. Although not 16x9 it is the best version out there if you can get hold of it! satlogo.jpg |

Don't Warner own the rights to this? They're still dragging their feet since the first box set they put out in the US. Apparently, it was a poor seller. So I don't think they'll be rushing this out on Bluray in a hurry. |
