I wouldn't call them barebones. I've just wrapped Videodrome as a Christmas present for a mate. There are tons of extras on it.

No agreed the later editions aren't really barebones. I'm not even against the limited edition concept. Heck some tit on Facebook even came out and said if you can't afford all the ltd eds on release date then tough you should have tried harder at school.
Its just the quantities, when stuff is regularly selling out before its even released they can warrant another 1000 copies surely, it would still sell out and make them a decent sum. And maybe limit how many copies can be bought in one go. Maybe a max of 3 per customer, thats not unreasonable and it would hinder scalpers.

Totally. The day that the Black Cat set was released on Amazon there were copies listed as 'used' and 'collectible' at double the price of the set that Amazon still had plenty of copies of. I guess there are some gougers out there that aren't too bright.

*When I say barebones I mean standard editions without the fancy packaging and things.

That's my kind of wrapping paper.
I still think Arrow are hesitant after Texas 2.

I ordered Koyaanisqatsi, Porky's and Tomb of Ligeia since I've been after them for a while, I'll probably order some more after the new year so they can be in my next payday!

Koyaanisqatsi + Powaqqatsi boxed set is currently cheaper than the Koyaanisqatsi single disc version on pre-order!
