I must admit I'm more reluctant this time because almost all of the £7.99 titles have been in the HMV 3 for £20 offer the last couple of months. The benefit being we get points to spend on pre-orders I guess.

Yeah sale doesn't seem as good this year if I'm being honest. Most of the titles I've been waiting for are still £9.99.
Last year i clicked on my wishlist and nearly everything came up at £7.99.
Still Arrow are much better come sale time than say 88 or 101 who still charge more than high street prices.
And Arrows points system is excellent particularly during sales.

Arrow started this practice last sale. What once was £7.99 can now be £8.99 or £9.99. This might sound petty, but previously, I would have bought a lot more titles in the sale as blind buys. This time around, only a few for me: Madman, Nightmare City, Nekromantic, Frankenhooker & Spirits of the Dead.

Timings really scuppered me this year. I wish they'd started the bloody sale a week ago. Would have made all the difference to me.

I only needed pit stop and Bird with Crystal Plumage and they didn't put either in the sale, considering they're not a new release or limited no idea why ..... but they can blow their sale out their hats now!!

Bird with the Crystal Plumage doesn't even seem to be in their web store anymore. I know the slipcase is out of print, so they mustn't be reissuing it

It came out so long ago now that the licensing has probably lapsed. I was meaning to buy the Blue Underground disc, but perhaps there is a better one around these days? I have the Arrow one and the cropping is annoying sometimes in the wide shots, I remember one shot of 2 people sitting at a table and can you see neither of them

There is a release from VCI that has the correcr ratio and is much cheaper than the BU disc. Don't think there are any extras though. Currently just shy of £9 from Allyourmusic via Amazon.

Thanks! That looks promising, but it is one of the ugliest covers I've seen The Australian one is a bit worse though.
