I watched the trailer for Horror Project earlier on today. I fancy those films, but £45 seems a bit dear by my standards but 20% left....

I agree with you Mucky, i don;t have a great deal of cash so it's a massive gamble for £45 but my other half wanted to pick it up for me for my B-day and i have £3 worth of Arrow points so i decided to go for it. I like the sound of the first two films a lot but the mermaid film looks a little weak to me at the moment. But everyone is giving it good reviews and they are selling fast so i decided to throw caution to the wind and its currently in the warehouse waiting to be shipped.

I saw some photos and the set does look very nice indeed.

Why did you waste £3 of points when it's still dearer than the £39.99 HMV and Amazon are charging?

He'd also get 10% of the value in points back so £44.99 - £3 = £41.99 = 419 points (£4.19 value); total net cost = £37.80.

So he's saved £2.20 off the next order points wise but lost £3 in total.

Although technically it's come in less, he's still lost out long term.

No, he's saved £4.19 in points by buying it at £41.99, which he can either save up or deduct from his next order. I tend to save mine up. I've managed to get both Nekromantik limited editions and the Society limited edition for free so far by saving my points. You also get double points during sales which is a nice bonus.

I know it's cheaper at Amazon, although ordering from Arrow usually guarantees earlier delivery (however AHP is out Monday so a little moot I guess).

You aren't seeing the bigger picture.

Sorry, but i find this interesting.

He had £3 in points. Now he has £4.19 in points. So £1.19 up in points.

However it cost him £2 more overall than if he's bought it at HMV, therefore he's lost 80p overall.
