I've watched 1-4 very recently and for the first time. I enjoyed them all but 2 and 3 are certainly the lesser ones, as Kierarts said the 4th one is actually really good. I've not got to the 5th film yet and I'm not expecting too much from it.

Phantasm fitted in very well with the late 70s/80s horror resurgence, tempted by the 4K remaster but not interested in the sequels 2,3 but you guys rate 4 so might give that one a shot, back in 79' in the cinema quite cool but... yeah nowadays not quite the same with an old guy chasing a kid going "BOY!!!"

for the time being my ABUK disc will do.

Switched them to nice sturdy red cases mate.

Bollocks mate!
The first is a masterpiece of originality!

There's nothing else like it-including the diminishing returns sequels.

Funnily enough, I switched them to normal blue cases today. The case for Ravager was a disgrace tbh. Don't think i've seen anyone's where the clear plastic wasn't warped.

btw, I finally got around to watching Ravager last night. I really enjoyed it right up until the end and what you're supposed to think has been happening during the whole series. I actually shouted at the end, refusing to accept what they wanted us to believe had happened. But I decided to watch it again this morning, and on a second viewing, I was much more forgiving and realised that we can make up our own minds on which reality was real (obviously not going into details for those who haven't seen it yet. It was amazing seeing Angus one last time as the tall dude (as Reggie once put it), and almost as good seeing Rocky from part 3 again (still looking very tasty!).
