it added nothing to the film, it was just a boat it had nothing important to do with the plot etc, if it was a important t scene etc , i can understand people getting upset.

If memory serves me correct this error followed on from previous blunders i.e the Beyond. It is insignificant to the film but it was another blow to their reputation at that time.
In fairness to Arrow the quality has improved since then.
