I was farting about on the BBFC app earlier and noticed Arrow put through “Mako: The Jaws of Death” on 18/09/2020.

I don’t remember this announcement and can’t find it on their website

Anyone shed any light?

Will have to take a look at the Trailer for Last Matinee.

To be fair, My Stepmother Is An Alien is the type of release some people have been clamoring for, a Film that people have heard off but not a Blockbuster.

Whether it's a Film people want is another question.

Looking logically at it.

If i were buying four new releases of Marvel movies they'd be fifteen quid a pop and have feck all extras.

So getting these four with extras, posters, cards and two 80 page books suddenly seems like a bargain.

Yes and no.

It's been ordered and should be delivered Friday. I'll have to wait until Christmas for it though as i'll be receiving it as a present from a close relative.

It's not actually that far off once we reach October is it.

Watching horror all October with pumpkins and spooky tea lights is almost like the beginning of Christmas.

Children of the Corn isn't the best film in the world by any means,but there's just something about it.
It may be the striking poster art,the still rather shocking opening or the likable leads of Hamilton and Horton.

John Franklin and Courtney Gains make creepy villains,the narrator-boy Job is slightly annoying (Not near as annoying as say,Bob in House By The Cemetery) and genre regular RG Armstrong turns up as a mechanic held to ransom by the murderous Gatlin offspring.
Johnathan Elias' suitably creepy score is excellent.

The only things that lets it down is what is often referred to as the 'Gopher from Caddyshack' special effects of the demonic entity under the corn.
The tacked on 'happy ending' (Studio imposed?) also grates.

For those who know He Who Walks Behind The Rows and have read King's classic short story from easily,his best compendium,Night Shift,will also know that there is no such ending for Burt and Vickie.......
