In the unlikely event Kat Ellinger was commissioned to do a commentary I wonder how many times she can get the word 'gothic' in for a western

In fact I've wondered if you had drinking game based on her saying 'gothic' during a commentary would it be survivable..? I think not
lmao I had noticed that too

I had a look through the latest Arrow sale yesterday, and place items worth UK$60 in my basket

When I went to check-out, I noticed they were going to charge me almost UK$10 for postage

I thought 'Sod that! If I'm giving you that amount to start with, I want free postage' so I removed everything from my basket and didn't bother

Throw in a book and a couple of matchbox size post cards and charge 45 quid is all i can think of.

The MGM release has Christopher Frayling all over it so a Kat Ellinger commentary just won't cut it.

Depends.

For people that want to buy in 4K they can certainly improve on the 4K that's already available from Kino, by adding Dolby Vision, as that release doesn't have any HDR at all.

If Arrow put out a release with Dolby Vision HDR and perhaps some new interviews and/or featurettes, it would be a huge upgrade on existing UK release.s

It would be unlikely to have a Dolby Atmos soundtrack because Arrow don't seem to like using that format, instead staying with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtracks from previous Blu-ray releases. Although I'm not sure immersive 3D sound is essential on a film like that, it would showcase Ennio Morricone's score far better than a 5.1 equivalent.

"***NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE COMING!***

Join us this Friday (December 20th) at 3.00pm BST / 7.00am PT / 10.00am ET for our March 2025 new title reveals!
"

Hope these are all film titles or related to movies, but suggestions include 'Dead Calm', 'Waterworld' 4k, 'The Beach', 'Deep Blue Sea', 'Jaws' Box Set, 'Master And Commander', 'Water', 'The Pirate Movie', 'Yellowbeard', 'Shallows', 'U-571', 'Swept Away', 'The Big Blue', 'Open Water', 'Cast Away', 'The Perfect Storm' and 'Crimson Tide'

Personally, my first thought was 'Dead Calm', but the way Arrow are going, it will be some big budget non-cult film like 'Master And Commander'

Lots of stuff from US still not released here which always mystifies me given that the UK is a prettty big marketplace for this stuff.

The US release of Deep Rising is excellent. Not sure how it can be improved, except to give it a fancy box and booklet, but having it in the UK market is obviously the ideal situation.

I must admit I really like it, moreso than The Mummy.
