After that excellent opening scene it goes downhill rapidly. I've only kept the dvd because it's a limited edition box with window artworks you can change the cards for.

To be honest I have only seen it once and I enjoyed it so was curious about upgrading it.

This kind of issue pops up every now and then, sometimes with Sony players but I don?t think that it has happened on an arrow disc before.

The only Quentin Tarantino related films that should be released by Arrow are 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and 'Grindhouse' (the full version)

All of the others are much too mainstream to be considered 'cult'

Ouch. All those who bought that ridiculously expensive Shout Factory F13 box set won't be impressed that the transfers could and have been improved upon.

I?m happy that the Scream Factory box set is the last time I am buying any of those films.

Well I couldn't afford to import that set so if arrow are releasing a UK blu ray set ill happily buy (a couple of weeks after it's launch day to make sure there's been no fuk ups) the box set!

The Paramount set is well worth getting and that's only 30 quid.

It only has the first eight films though but it seems Arrow are releasing them individually anyway.

There hasn?t been any kind of confirmation or hints that they are releasing the 8 paramount films. Just the 2 New Line ones. And while I enjoy those 2, I?m quite happy not to buy them again.

I was thinking exactly this. It seems strange they would start with a New Line release rather than an earlier Paramount one?

The only reason I could think of, is that they are perhaps doing extra restoration on the Paramounts; say reintegrating cut kill scenes? However, I somehow doubt it.

And also, if they do have them all, wouldn't they follow-up individual releases with a boxset?
