I'm really pleased i don't love the film as much as others here do. Or i'd end up paying seventy notes for something i can't even watch.

Just done that with Force Ten from Navarone from Powerhouse. Wasn't seventy quid thankfully.

It's not a problem as i already own things like Navarone, Haunted House of Horror and Night of the Demon (twice in this case) on dvd so it's not as if i can't watch the films if i want to. Just makes for a nice library of special edition faves whenever the time comes.

I wish I wasn't so weak willed and just waited for the normal edition to come out. I do really like the film, but for nostalgia rather than any merit it has

This time next year it'll be worth £200 and I'll be rich

It's not sold out yet on any of the sites so it's clearly not as limited as we all thought! With it being so far in advance I wouldn't be surprised if the manufacturing amount will be determined by the number of orders placed. Probably took notes from when Arrow released The Thing!

Lost all resolve and ended up ordering the 4K UHD Dawn set. Was gonna wait for a much cheaper standard edition but got cold feet (I'm pretty sure there'll be a 1080p standard set but what if a 4K UHD standard set never arrives).

HMV are selling for 65 and 75 pounds so at least I got a fiver off. My only concern is that it's a long wait till October and HMV might get in financial difficulty again, meaning that I could miss out on a sold out product. If that happens I'll take it on the chin.

On their Facebook post, our old buddy PoochJD has been telling folk they’re limited to 5000 units each, obviously everything that comes out his mouth is a load of shite, and seeing as Second Sight themselves haven’t released these details, I’m going with Justin’s theory above

Yes, Justin's theory adds up. It makes sense to sound out level of interest before you slap on the LE number, especially given that this is likely to generate a lot of international interest, being the first BR for a long time, and also an up to the minute restoration with all 3 cuts.

Personally I don't think the UHD will be all that successful. DVD is still the dominant physical media medium. BR has established itself as the collectors medium. UHD still seems a bit niche to me...
