I blurted out You Wank Taxi and it became my nickname for a short while. Simply explaining my nickname here may not win me this, but since this is my online nickname why not share it here (again?): Roughale was a pronunciation help of my first name (Rafael) for UK Subs singer Charlie Harper, which I invented when we became friends in the early 80s, he had a very strange way to say my name, so I said "try to say it like rough and ale...." - let's say, the pronunciation was a little better after that When I got into the internet world, I remembered the name and used it... --- Alternatively I learned to live with any insults, I take them as compliment and they may be used as nickname as well... --- Should I remind you of my competition nickname Manipulato?

My nickname at school was AIDS. An imaginary prize to anyone who wants to suggest why. If I could have made up a nickname for myself at school it would have been Stud, obviously. My name on here comes from this song: Last edited by trouserpress; 14th November 2012 at 09:05 PM. |

A> I started calling a fellow student Chimpy at school due to his monkey like face so he decided to call me Gibbon due to my long thin arms. I was also called Pipey for a while at work as my first name is Dwayne (think about it). Also, the Red Dwarf writers owe me BIG TIME as I also went through a phase of being called Dibley B> If had to pick a nickname it would probably be X CLABS CRAB because it would fit in perfectly here and describe the way I had a vice like grip on the forum when I was moderator....not C> My Cult Labs name was given to me by my wife...Bedorca...why? when I am sleeping in bed I tend to throw myself around like a whale breaching And you thought it was something cool..... |

My username originates from the merging of my surname, Hawkins, and the family traditional industry, Fishmongery. I was also stonned at the time so that didn't help. I'm not known anywhere else that I frequent by any other name (except my own) but i'n high school I was named 'Ginger Jew' by the lads. Although i'm not jewish myself, I did stick up for the school jew's at one point when I felt the bullying had gone to far, so the chap's started calling me Jewish also, then merged when people thought 'Ginger' and 'Jew' sounded alright together. Insulting git's! I hated them all anyway! Nout' wrong with Jew's! |

1. "V" - The name given by my father at birth was "Vicente", but the nurse wrote down "Vincent". I started school as "Vicente", but both teachers and kids had a hard time pronouncing it correctly. In 1st grade, one day some kid said "your name is too hard to say, so I'm just gonna call you 'V'." And it stuck. Mind you, this was before the original television show about alien invasion called "V", and also before any of the hip-hop culture started making initials popular. Teachers and students called me this through the rest of my school years, and even new friends later in life adopted it after hearing my old friends continue to use it. 2. "Chente de la Gente" - A common nickname for "Vicente" is "Chente". "De la Gente" translates to "of the people". A friend started calling me this after high school some time. I thought it was pretty funny. 3. "dullboy" - My forum name is taken from one of my favorite films, The Shining. In case it wasn't obvious... |

At school I was "Little Rick" due to there being a few Ricks and me being the shortest of them, notice Rick spelt with a C, I didn't drop the C from my name until I started being in bands, thought it looked cooler to spell it Rik and that's how it's been since I was 15. One of my tutors at college calls me Sal because my middle name is Salvatore, named after my Sicilian Granddad, again because there's a few Ricks, him being one of them (place is full of Dicks I tell you! ). My mates call me O'Shay, as in Rik-o-shay get it
