I would hope they aren't well known to anyone.

Croc's. The sign of a man who has lost all hope.
Still better than the coat I say. 'Await's for storm in a tea cup'

It seems that a lot of actors who have played the part in the past are possibly going to be returning for a story to celebrate the 50th anniversary

Already agreed are the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), the Eighth (Paul McGann), Fifth (Peter Davison), and the Seventh (Sylvester McCoy). It is presumed that the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) will be more than willing to give it a go. Even the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) has stated ""I think if they ask me nicely or I can see what they want me to do, I'd consider it. I think the fans have been so good to me, they'd expect me to at least make an appearance.""

However, the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) has already made it clear that he will not be returning

I so hope this turns out to be true I'd love to see Colin and Tom working together. Two such huge personalities.
Eccelston is a strange character so it's not much of a surprise he said no. Brilliant actor but lousy at making personal choices.

Stella new's Suzy! Eccleston is indeed a strange fellow. Shame, he's such a talented actor.

I would love a multi Doctor story next year, it doesn't have to be the 50th special, but one episode around the second half of the year would be magical.

In my opinion Paul McGann is the Doctor more than Christopher Eccleston, even though Eccleston made more episodes, he now disowns it which is wrong.

I have actually read and listened to many more McGann adventures than Eccleston.

Don't forget that it took many years for Tom to embrace the show after he had left it.

Maybe Eccleston will come round i time

Sadly not enough people here in North America are even aware of the Big Finish Audios. I came in a little late myself but then found myself going back to get earlier ones. It was actually the BF audios that re-sparked my love of the classic series and sent me out looking for them.
Hmm...making an edit here because my switch from audios to DVD sets was so sudden.
My gf is getting me a couple sets for fathers day. I've managed to find out one is going to be Trial of a Time Lord and I am really hoping she gets me a Revisitatations set as well. Been drooling over those. Hope they live up to the hype.
