They could have at least stretched it out another four episodes and got rid of the wretched Revenge of the Cybermen.

REVENGE OF THE CYBERMEN was pretty bad, but on its original broadcast I was so ecstatic at seeing the return of my favourite monsters I tended to overlook its crapness

By the way, did anyone else spot the reference to the Tereleptils in the trailer for next weeks episode?

I did notice a pic of one, albeit very briefly.

Only seen it in the next time trailer. I haven't frozen each frame to see who was on it.

Who was Captain John by the way? I gave up on Torchwood half way through the first series and have only seen Children of Earth, which was excellent, in full.

Captain John Hart, played by James Marsters (Spike in 'Buffy') appeared in the second series of "Torchwood"

He first appeared in the episode "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" as a rogue Time Agent and former partner of Jack Harkness (both professionally and sexually). He had been in rehab for drink, drugs, sex and murder.

He also appeared in the finale of the second series - "Fragments" and "Exit Wounds"
