Captain John Hart, played by James Marsters (Spike in 'Buffy') appeared in the second series of "Torchwood" He first appeared in the episode "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" as a rogue Time Agent and former partner of Jack Harkness (both professionally and sexually). He had been in rehab for drink, drugs, sex and murder. He also appeared in the finale of the second series - "Fragments" and "Exit Wounds"
