I thought The Zygon Invasion was excellent. It felt like it had almost film like qualities. Could easily have been a series finale set up rather than mid series.

I am happy with Doctor Who as it is right now, ok, it is noch perfect, but to be fair, it never was, really, but then, what is perfect anyway? ;-) I love the show, I like the stories, I am fine with the actors, with some bits of stuff I could do w/o (mostly concerning Clara). Some silliness is a bit too much for me (sonic glasses and why the heck does he have to play the guitar in every episode now?), but these are minor spots on an overly clear surface, so let's keep it going that way!

The official BBC synopsis for penultimate episode Heaven Sent makes it sound quite interesting. Trapped in a world unlike any other he has seen, the Doctor faces the greatest challenge of his many lives. One final test. And he must face it alone. Pursued by the fearsome creature known only as the Veil, he must attempt the impossible. If he makes it through, Gallifrey is waiting… |
