TARGET books from around the world, part 10: The USA

1: The Daleks - Blimey! This is nasty! Cheap, plastic Daleks and what is going on with (I presume) Ian and Barbara? It looks like he is in a wheelchair!

TARGET books from around the world, part 11: Turkey

I'm not sure if Doktor Kim is a literal translation of Doctor Who, of whether the character is given the name Kim!

1: The Abominable Snowmen
2: The Auton Invasion/Spearhead From Space
3: The Cybermen/The Moonbase
4: The Daleks
5: Day Of The Daleks
6: The Doomsday Weapon/Colony In Space

And that's the end of this trip around the world for the time being.

11 parts, eh? Almost as long as 'The Daleks' Master Plan'!!

Some of the covers featured have been incredible; some have been abysmal; some have been straight copies of the UK covers and some have been so left of centre you would never have been able to guess what they were!

But all of them have been interesting

I meant to comment on this yesterday when i read it in the magazine.

This director actually directed easily the worst two episodes of series 9 and they let him back to do the Christmas special.

If you read the story- "Matt Gatiss recently said that he thinks the Christmas special is “one of Steve’s best ever scripts, absolutely beautiful,” and added that it made him cry."

The reality is that who fans will probably be crying for other reasons.

I actually quite like a lot of new who, it's a different animal from classic Who.
But usually the Christmas episodes suck ass big time.

I think there have been some really good Christmas episodes. My faves being -

The Next Doctor (sorry i love Cybermen tramping through graveyards)
A Christmas Carol
The Time of the Doctor

The Doctor the Widow and the Wardrobe was awful though. The last two were merely okay.

The only ones i really liked were the Christmas invasion and the Cyberman one, stories where Christmas is a sideline, i'd rather have a proper Who story than a Christmas advert.
**** xmas, i didn't vote for that shit.
Bah Humbug.
Or Ha Bumhug if you prefer.
