Quote from Steven Moffat at NYC Comic Con

Quote:
We have got some new writers. We’re not rolling them all out now. Oh, I could do one fun thing. We’ve got Mike Bartlett coming in. He’s just done ‘The Haunted Hub,’ a brilliant script from Mike Bartlett. He wrote the show ‘Doctor Foster,’ Has it been over here? No? Well, it’s brilliant, and he’s a brilliant playwright. And he’s been a long-time fan of ‘Doctor Who.’ He put his new hit series on hold for a couple of weeks so could write an episode of ‘Doctor Who.’ And — oh, what the hell. For the first time ever, someone who wrote for the classic series — and I’m not saying who — is going to write an episode of the new series! Deal with that!
Start the guessing game now!

I'm going for Ben Aaronovitch. (Remembrance of the Daleks)

Hope it's not Kevin Clarke - 'Silver Nemesis' is a mess

Maybe Marc Platt, so he can do a sequel to 'Ghost Light', explaining what that story is all about!

I've seen it enough to fully understand. Ghost Light has become one of my all time fave stories.

Andrew Smith (Full Circle) is my other guess.

Interesting!

This was tweeted earlier today

As it happens, 'SS' is the production code for 'The Wheel in Space', a story which is currently (?) incomplete

Interesting, given I've heard Wheel mentioned lately.
One hopes they actually know something legit and aren't just tweeting for attention/echo-chambering. Then again, they did know about the Power animation in advance.

Someone on another forum has pointed the capitalised D in "toDay".
D is the production code for Marco Polo.

The Oncoming Hope: 5 Best Classic Doctor Who Episodes for Newbies

Other than 'Androzani', I'd say this is a pretty good choice

What's up with Androzani?

No Dalek story is daft.

Why not Genesis for fans of The Magicians Apprentice?

I wouldn't have The Mind Robber at all.
