May 1st - "When Beltane is come tread softly for, lo, the Prince himself is nigh!"

Any excuse to post this again!

I watched the first three episodes of The Daemons last night. Seemed only right to do so. Will watch the last two today as it's May Day.

Just finished watching Thin Ice, excellent stuff the best one of this season yet, a nice classic feel to this one. really liking the doctors and Bills partnership.

Another fairly decent Dr Who episode. Thin Ice was certainly a more traditional story in the spirit of Dr Who past or should I say loooong ago. This series feels certainly MORE like Dr Who. Instead of the convoluted and sometimes confusing plots that Moffat came up with in the not too distant past. Though I had no issues with following those said plots to a degree. I just feel that the Dr Who team needed to redress the balance with bringing back this style of episodic story telling again.

Will Chibnall follow through with what the current Dr Who team have done with this soft reboot of Dr Who?

I would rate Thin Ice with a 6.8 Though I would've liked to of seen Miss Mackie and Capaldi do a nice ice skating duet together toward the end. Then I would of given Thin Ice 8.5.

This Week Knock, Knock. Certainly a Ghost Light vibe with that story.

Thought this week's was awful tbh. Back to the same old rubbish after two reasonably passable episodes.
A complete new broom can't come soon enough.

I'm surprised that you liked it less than the other two considering this is more classic who than either of those.
