Well Oxygen was one on it's own. Creepy and surreal at the same time. This explains why the Doctor can read the Veritas... he can't see it! |

I enjoyed tonights episode. As to Silurians i thought they looked good at first, then they took the outer mask off. 1208195_original.jpg

The only good thing is it's been acknowledged by Moffat that they are a different breed / species of Silurian to what we had in the classic series. |

The only rule I have on Saturday evening is...no phone calls or visitors Half way thru 'Oxygen', the door goes and it's the little 'erbert from next door. "Can I have my ball back, please?" By the time I had fought thru the stinging nettles and retrieved his football, I had lost track of what was happening in the episode What I saw I enjoyed, and I bet the zombies will result in many a child having a nightmare tonight

Oxygen had elements of Star Trek: First Contact and 2001: A Space Odyssey. HAL the murdering computer, pre-programmed to kill its crew. The Zombie crew sort of assimilated its victims with the hand. What did the Borg do? The suits in Oxygen looked similar to the First Contact space suits with the gravity boots bar the LED mini blue lights. Even the sound of the gun firing sounded similar to the sound effect of the laser gun Worf fired in First Contact. Its just me being a picky bastard again. Last weeks episode was fairly enjoyable, but like others have said on here, let down by a rather crap ending. Suchet was superb though. Wanted him to be more than just the son. He would of been terrific as a recurring villain. If only. Oxygen proved to be a rather satisfying story overall. 7/10 from me. Last edited by hivemind; 13th May 2017 at 11:51 PM. |

Behind the scenes 'family portrait' from 'The Dominators' Normally, it is only shown in a cropped version But in the full version, if you look closely, you can see that 'Padders' is holding a cigarette and presumably this is the reason for the editing

I went with the person who played my namesake - Carole Ann Ford, and so did contestant Barry Cryer

"This was written by Steven Moffat two years before the Doctor Who series would reboot and several years before he would take over as showrunner for the series."
