Disappointing end to the Monks 'trilogy' on Saturday. As with Knock Knock, the premise was good, but that sugary, schmaltzy ending nearly made me vomit. As for the 'fake' regeneration, it was just plain stupid.

Here's hoping Mark Gatiss' Ice Warrior story next week gets the series back on track.

According to the BBFC, the first part of the Season 10 DVD has been passed uncut with a 12 certificate

The 'guide' is:
  • Season 10, Episode 1 - the Pilot Passed PG for mild threat, violence, sex references, bad language
  • Season 10, Episode 3 - Passed PG for mild threat, violence
  • Season 10, Episode 4 - Knock Knock Passed 12 for moderate fantasy threat, scary scenes
  • Season 10, Episode 5 - Passed 12 for moderate threat
  • Season 10, Episode 6 - Passed 12 for moderate fantasy threat, scary scenes, suicide references

Extra features mentioned are:
  • Doctor Who - Inside Look Episode 6 [Additional Material, Season 10]
  • Doctor Who - Inside Look Episode 5 [Additional Material, Season 10]

The Pyramid At The End Of The World was the 14th most watched programme of the week and second highest on the BBC, with 5.78M.

Do the BBC usually cancel their second highest rated shows, Treb?

Just watched the latest episode and yes, absolute bollocks. A disappointing end to a trilogy that could had real promise. Hopefully the Ice Warrior episode will be good.

I do like the ideas on offer in Empress of Mars. Victorian soldiers colonizing. It's very Jules Verne and HG Wells.
