It's been confirmed that the new series will be starting in October 2018

Therefore, if it starts mid October, say the 20th, the 2018 Christmas episode could be part of the actual run, and not a special one

Which I think makes better sense, having the series start earlier and finish before Christmas has always been a bit odd. I wonder if the BBC are planning on doing a full run or splitting it into two halves?

Daleks invade 'Coronation Street'!

Looking at Annie Walker and also Elsie Tanner's hair style, I would suggest this is late 60's
