Sounds better than Bradley Walsh vs Tim Shaw. "I am a demi-god! I am all powerful! I cannot be defeated I'm- OWW YOU SHOT ME IN THE FOOT!" |

Another masterpiece from the Hinchcliffe/Holmes/Baker era. Many people seem to feel let down by the 4th episode but I disagree. If anything it showcases just how powerful Sutekh through Scarman is: Sarah and the Doctor can only follow them to the eye of Horus but they can't actually stop him getting to it. Its such a bleak situation and individual episode overall: I had no idea how he was going to stop Sutekh the first time I watched it. Thank god Sutekh isn't coming back though, could you imagine what Chibnall would do to his character for instance? (to my eternal shame, it took me a lot of viewings to notice in that one scene when Sutekh stand up, the hand of the extra hastily getting out of shot haha) |

Gallifrey Base has a thread called "Image of the Fendahl or The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos?" Now both Stories come from my least favourite Seasons but... In the case of Fendahl I get the impression that they genuinely tried to make it work. The direction is good, and it had the potential to be very atmospheric. It definitely looked good given that I can remember lots of it from mid-last year. In contrast I can barely remember anything from Ranskoor (anything good that is). It had no atmosphere and they screwed up badly with Tim Shaw. And it didn't have Tom or Louise in it... I'm far from Fendahl's biggest fan (or Season 15) and it doesn't work anywhere near as well as it should but, I'd rather watch that 10 times in a row as opposed to Ranskoor or the one with the Pting. |

By the way, you are so wrong about Image of the Fendahl. It's an absolute classic. Despite The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos being seen so recently, i can barely remember a thing about it. Can't see me ever watching series 11 ever again either. |
