Halloween Horrors - 1977's The Talons of Weng-Chiang is a truly creepy Victorian Gothic adventure set in the Holmesian world of a dark shadowy London where girls go missing and tales of giant creatures roam the sewers.

Scariest of all was Mr. Sin. A 'Peking homonculous' with the cerebral cortex of a pig disguised as a murderous music hall dummy.

Halloween Horrors - Horror of Fang Rock (1977) A richly atmospheric murder mystery from Terrance Dicks, a taut, scary tale of possession set at a remote fogbound Edwardian lighthouse.

Halloween Horrors - It can only be Doctor Who's chilling reworking of Frankenstein, The Brain of Morbius (1976) of which Mary Whitehouse complained "contained some of the sickest and most horrific material seen on children's television"
