I think i'll wait until that one drops in price. As for season 17 - Yay Shada... again. There's a good three part story desperate to claw it's way out from six episodes of dullness. |

The Return of Doctor Mysterio. Mediocre. To be fair, it's not as shrilly awful as Husbands of River Song, but it's still disappointing after the surprisingly good Last Christmas, which managed to be a decent Who story even with the trappings of Christmas frippery. This isn't even very Christmassy. There are some amusing moments and I did laugh out loud at the bit with the reporter torturing the squeaky toy head to get info out of Capaldi, which was so absurd it was genuinely funny (for some reason I can totally imagine that scene in Coupling). On the whole though this was pretty meh.

It's pretty terrible. AHEM. Drink in, wits out ....

Although he was a fun character, and used for some good comic relief, I don't think that the Sontarans should be 'cuddly' - they are ruthless warmongers who should be feared I can't imagine Robert Holmes being impressed with what his creation has been turned into!

Hopefully their appearance in the new season will address this. Although with Chibnall who knows. |
