Slack, shoddy and a cheap cash in! It *isn't* Dan's wok - it's Dan's *MAM'S* wok! From the episode: DOCTOR: We have to get the Sontarans out of the Crimea. But the rest is on you, Dan. DAN: I was worried you were going to say that. DOCTOR: The first wave of ships in the Sontaran Temporal Offensive are about to launch. You have to stop those ships leaving. DAN: How am I supposed to do that? DOCTOR: What resources do you have? DAN: A wok. DOCTOR: I'm sorry, what? Why have you got a wok? DAN: It's me Mam's. For hitting them on the probic thingy.

I was actually aware of that! To (mis)quote The Doctor: "That's No point to being grown up if you can't be pedantic sometimes"

Saw Evil of the Daleks last night. Have to be honest, wasn't all that impressed. The animation is fine, but I think the problem is... the story. I watched the first 3 on Monday but couldn't get into it, but thought maybe I was just tired (it had been a long day and it was effing hot here). No such excuse last night. It's reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly long and overextended, and boiled down the plot is actually pretty silly. I'm sure the original production was very classy and probably helped more than animation, but I found it massively inferior to Power as a story and a bit of a bore to be honest. Oh the controversy! |
