• Was the daughter of Mike Ellis, the uncredited visual effects assistant who operated the L1 robot in the 1986 story 'The Trial of A Time Lord: The Mysterious Planet'
• Her longer-lasting impact on Doctor Who is probably her 1983-1987 stint as the 13th Blue Peter presenter. She was the host who conducted the introductory interviews with newly-cast Doctors Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy. The latter interview was particularly notable, as Blue Peter had exclusive rights to announce McCoy's casting in the role. She was also instrumental in Blue Peter's celebration of the twentieth anniversary special, The Five Doctors, and the unusually heavy coverage they gave Doctor Who's return-from-hiatus, The Trial of a Time Lord.
