Very sorry to hear of Bernard's death this morning. I won't deny i'm not his biggest fan in general, he always was a bit OTT for my tastes in things like The Railway Children and even parts of Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD but when he appeared in the new series along with David and Catherine he pitched it perfectly. His performance in Turn Left (2008) is simply sublime. I'm delighted he managed to film scenes with David and Catherine for the upcoming 60th special episodes. It will be a fitting tribute to him. |
