Image of the Day # 1342
A publicity image for The Snowmen, 2012's Christmas special. Starring Matt Smith as the Doctor, Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswin Oswald and inside the snowglobe Richard E Grant as Dr. Simeon. |
| ||||
I re-watched The Snowmen again last night. It's probably my second favourite Christmas special after The Time of the Doctor. Watching it on Blu-ray was a great improvement than dvd. The sound is wonderful. When Ian McKellan booms as the voice of the Great Intelligence it kind of reverberates round the room. Meanwhile the snow looks really snowflakey. |
| ||||
I would have liked it better if they had used Patrick Troughton Snowmen (i.e big fluffy teddy bears) instead of frozen water vapour that turns into ice crystals snowmen!
