It's possibly apocryphal, but according to director Michael Ferguson, during a break while filming some location scenes on Hampstead Heath in London, actor Steve Peters was leaning against a tree in his Ice Warrior costume (minus his helmet) smoking a cigarette. A woman drive past, noticed this peculiar sight and was so fixated on it that she hit the back of a police car!
