Who: Before And After #1326a / Nu-Who #385aName: Tessa Peake-Jones [1957 - ] Year(s): 2013 Stories: The Time Of The Doctor Character(s): Marta Note(s): Is best known for playing Raquel in the sit-com 'Only Fools And Horses'. By a strange coincidence, Raquel's debut episode of 'OFAH' was the 1988 Christmas special 'Dates', which was first broadcast on December 25th, 1988 - exactly 25 years before 'The Time of the Doctor' was first broadcast. In the episode, Raquel (who was an actress (and occasional stripper)) mentioned that her biggest acting role to that date had been a bit part in a Doctor Who episode 'about ten years ago'. Image of the Day # 1678
I couldn't decide exactly how i wanted to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of Doctor Who with today's image - The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, something else? so i thought i'd post a photo which is a personal favourite of mine. A gorgeous behind the scenes photo from The Chase (1965) of William Hartnell (The Doctor) William Russell (Ian Chesterton), Maureen O' Brien (Vicki) and Jacqueline Hill (Barbara Wright) Happy Sixtieth Birthday Doctor Who. |
