Finally some good news!
Most people were expecting 25 (with an outside hope for a Troughton). One of my fave seasons. Odd to give them all new FX though, I'd say the only one that might have needed it was Silver Nemesis. Glad we're getting the extended version and the US documentary too.

Seeing the updated neon signs in The Happiness Patrol made it look a little more Blade Runner which i thought was cool.

Not sure why they've updated Remembrance though. I hope it's not the explosions as they were done for real anyway. Same with Galaxy.

Only Jon Pertwee could look remotely cool on this motorcycle.

The cover of issue 22 of the all new Doctor Who Adventures magazine for younger readers. The cover featured Peter Capaldi's Doctor together with an Ice Warrior and a Slitheen. It was on sale in March 2017.

Saw Planet of the Daleks last night. I have no idea why I watched this; haven't seen it for 17 years and never much liked it, always thought it was pretty boring. But for some reason I got the idea into my head to watch it last night and... quite liked it, actually. It's too long and I did start to flag a bit in the last half hour, but it was fun enough. The new fx were awful though, esp the dreadful CGI ship in the last episode that sticks out like a sore thumb. Why even bother when they're worse than the originals?!!?

I remember paying a tenner for a bootleg vhs of Planet of the Daleks way back. It was totally unwatchable, haha.

I've always had a soft spot for it to be honest. If anything i think it's the first couple of episodes that are the worst, get through those and away we go.

I remember there was a photo similar to this one below in the Marks and Spencer Dalek omnibus hard back book in the seventies and it totally captured my imagination.

Sadly my book no longer has the dust jacket.

There's a brilliant full page pic of a snowy TARDIS from Seeds of Doom. That was another image that captured my imagination, as did some of the illustrations. In particular the ones of the war zones in Genesis with the gas masked soldiers.
