Why can't we just let bygones bee bygones? I don't want to suffer a swarm of criticism.

Don't laugh but i actually enjoy '79s The Sheriff And The Satellite Kid with Bud Spencer, Cary Guffey, Raimund Harmstorf and Joe Bugner. A nice little feelgood film imo which i've liked ever since ITV screened it one Sunday morning back in the late '80s. The sequel, Why Did You Pick On Me? was shown the same day the following week.

Does anybody else recall the '79 TV movie The Intruder Within directed by Peter Carter and starring either Joseph or Timothy Bottoms if i'm not mistaken? Yours truly saw this film on the small screen back in the '80s and remember it as being sorta like Alien on an Oil Rig with the titular creature chasing one of the humans up some kind of platform or tower in the final reel. There was a British video release but the label escapes me and the movie was pretty good from what i recall. The Darker Side Of Terror wasn't bad either with Robert Forster in dual roles as both good and evil characters. The latter some sorta doppelganger or clone i think.

There's a little known TV movie from 77 i think, called Where Have All The People Gone, it's an end of the world type of flick which follows a family on a camping trip coming home to find they're the last ones alive, pretty cool too. Peter Graves starred in it and it's available in entirety on Youtube, it was released on DVD in the U.S as a double feature with another forgotten 70s post apocalyptic flick, The Ultimate Warrior with Yul Bryner and Max Von Sydow. Long out of print now though. |
