As a companion piece to THE FRIGHTENED WOMAN, Radley Metzger's THE LICKERISH QUARTET is a far more substantive piece of erotica (not to put down Schivazappa but Metzger's film not only has the visuals and the skin but it also engages the mind). Image's DVD could stand an upgrade (the film was shot by Hans Jura who also shot Metzger's THERESE AND ISABELLE and THE ALLEY CATS) and its got another killer Stelvio Cipriani score. |

Interesting point Ecc. have I welcomed you to these here boards yet? If not welcome aboard (as it were!) I get happily lots in the visual appeal of the film much as I'm a sucker for Inferno where many seem to complain at the lack of plotting that makes any sense. We'll see how Frightened Woman does - it's reasonably well known amongst exploitation fans (I'd say) but at large I do worry that anyone else is going to pass it by. |
