 Meeting Your Heroes
As this weekend sees the feastival of fantastic films in Manchester with Ian Mcculloch (ZFE) in attendance today. I was wondering just who of their Heroes board members had met. Personally i have met the following off the top of my head Dario Argento/Goblin Joe D'amato Lucio Fulci Catriona Mccall John Morgan John Saxon Gunnar Hanson Tom Savini Jess Franco Lina Romay Jean Rollin Brigette Lahaie Traci Lords Ruggerro Deodato George Romero/David Emge/Ken Foree/Gaylen Ross there are more but can't remeber all of them without checking I was lucky enough to attend most of the Euro fests in the 90's plus many other signing events as well.  |

Mines been all music stars that i met, though i had orange juice with Kenneth Brannagh and James Ellis when they filmed the 'Billy' plays in the next street to mine as a kid. My greatest time was the first time I met NBZ. Dennis Greaves invited me backstage to meet the band and sign aurographs . A good 20 to 30 mins they chatted for. That beat meeting Joe Strummer and Joey Ramone put together, as to me Den's 'The Man'. |

I've only met a few...Clive Barker is my only horror related one. At a Weaveworld book signing...I was last in line so we chatted for about 10 mins...was shit cool. I gave Mike Patton an hour long tour of Dublin one day, that was a huge highlight as was a huge fan of Mr Bungle and FNM. I've been totally lost for words with some...Justin Broadrick(Godflesh) I sat beside him at a bar for about 15 mins and couldn't think of anything to say...was terrified of saying something stupid to a total idol. Chatted to Ted Parsons of Prong and Godflesh though quite easily the same day. Same thing happened when I was face to face with Jim Reid of the Jesus and Mary Chain....complete blank, he looked scared! Had a great chat with the lads from Ash and Mogwai at gigs |

I met Lamberto Bava and Ruggero Deodato in Glasgow. Both were very freindly and patiently singed every dvd sleeve that i brought with me. I'll be meeting Joe Pilato and Ken Foree over the weekend.  |
