Consisting of "The Calamari Wrestler", "Executive Koala" and "Crab Goalkeeper"? The first two have R1 releases but Crab Goalkeeper doesn't yet have English subtitles available.

These movies are insane and would be perfect for a Shameless Japan off-shoot series

I'd love to see these released in PAL territories. Movies like Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police are popular, I'm sure homes could be found for plenty of these!

Ummm... I like proper weird stuff

I checked out Executive Koala a while back and have to admit I was a bit disappointed by it. It didn't quite live up to my expectations, I found it dare I say a bit 'Troma-ish'. Anyone seen the other two? What they like? I'm likewise kinda tempted to check em out (I'm a sucker for silly animal costumes!) but am a bit resistant after the experience of Executive Koala.

Executive Koala is one strange mind-trip. My bro got it for me for Xmas, and what can I say except it's basically: a murder mystery / musical / martial arts / crime / romance. With giant animals. Great fun, but not recommended watching if high.

I'd never heard of Crab Goalkeeper (sounds a bit like a sexual position,doesn't it?!

), and now on reading this thread can't think of anything else... someone PLEASE release an English friendly version before I go insane over-thinking about it...

... either that, or I'm gonna have to seek out a non-English friendly version and watch it anyway, as tbh with Kawasaki's films you hardly need the subs, as it's all a wonderful blur anyway.
