 Renato Polselli films
What are the chances of Shameless putting out any of the great, late, lamented Mr Polsellis films? I know redemption released The Reincarnation of Isabel, but Britain really needs to see Delirio Caldo and the like. What sort of damage would the bbfc inflict on delirium I wonder?

Delirium has a fantastic region 1 release,but i think your probably right,the bbfc are not fans of sex and violence.However I am,that is why it's one of my favourite films. I think the man is under represented on dvd though,apparently sarcophilous(i think thats how you spell it) in the US are planning two extras packed special edition DVD's later in the year,can't remember which titles though. |

"Oscenita'" and "La verita' secondo Satana" are to be released in the US. I'd love to see a dvd released (someday...) of Polselli's Il mostro dell'opera,a film I absolutely adore. |

Haven't seen Delirium but according to DVD Delirium Vol 2 it contains a bathscene involving a knife that would have the BBFC spitting nails. Mind you this book was written a few years ago now..

I'm not a big fan of Delirium, found it quite poor, but I can't remember anything standing out that was particularly extreme. After I watched it (Italian cut) I was confused by its reputation. I may need to rewatch it. All I really remember is how boring it was! |

Redemption will be releasing Polselli's Revelations of a Psychiatrist in the Perverse World of Sex in the uk in oct. Will probably be an edited version. |

Thats great news!, but I think that it will be cut, seeing as how the original contains a scene of beastiality!

To be honest I much preferred The Mundane World of Bog Standard Sex (aka Revenge of the Missionary aka Mondano Mondo del Sesso Ordinario).
