Yes he was an extremely lovable character, along with Richie and the gang. Interestingly Fonzie was only one of 2 characters who appeared in every single episode. I think inevitably though after playing the character for 10 years he found it difficult to maintain his popularity once the show ended and so sadly it was a little down hill after that for Henry Winkler.

He was intended roles in Grease and Local Hero but neither happened. I thought Night Shift was quite a quirky film though.

Why do I never see MEN BEHAVING BADLY get mentioned on these here forums? That puzzles me.

My favourite ever comedy is THE OFFICE. Ricky Gervais is a genius.

On the Buses is probably my favourite TV Comedy show but I also like Phoenix Nights, The Office and Steptoe and Son. Probably loads more as well but they're the ones that spring to mind!

Forgot to mention On The Buses. It went off the boil in the end but it was great in the early days.

A few more oldies that slipped my mind.......

Rising Damp
The Fall And Rise of Regginald Perrin
Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em
