Believe me when I say that I think Andrew Lincoln is a fine actor and I can't imagine anyone else pulling off the character of Rick Grimes with such conviction. The scene involving his reaction was incredible but it seemed to end very quickly. I may have been prepared for the scene as my wife watched it before I did and told me how unbelievably sad it was so maybe me expecting it reduced its impact on me. In no way am I saying that Andrew didn't deliver because he really did IMO.

I'm a week behind on The Walking Dead, but I just watched 'The Killer Within' and I almost couldn't hack it by the end, I feel like I've been through the wringer! It went from the cheer of Hershel getting better faster than expecting to total carnage in a matter of minutes - I'm too distraught to watch the next episode now, I think I'm scared of what could happen next, Rick is going to have a complete break down!

However Carl is turning out to be a badass lol, he was a wimpering kid in the farm episodes and now he's head-shotting all the zombies without a care in the world.

Another week, another great episode. It's all really coming together now and I can't wait for next week!

Is there a mid-season gap?

According to IMDB it runs through to to Dec 2nd then not again till Feb, which is odd if the season runs at 10 episode because they'd be breaking at episode 8 the coming back for the final two shows in feb. American TV is very bizarre.

Hounded was an excellent episode. Michael Rooker is really great in this but I don't think he's going to be around too much longer.

This season is 16 episodes split into half. So two more episodes.

Just finished watching the latest episode (number 7), it just keeps getting better and better, and not sticking to the comics exactly is really helping keep the tension high.

I agree, I can't wait for the mid season finale. Shame we have to wait until February to get the other half.
