I am jaw dropped at the fact that there's no X-Files thread here. ![]() The only one I could find is this... Quote:
![]() I'm certain that if there's fans of TFTC and The Twilight Zone on Cult Labs then there has to be X-Files fans so i'm starting this thread ![]()

I enjoyed the X-Files for the first 4 seasons and then lost interest, i felt it had run out of one off storylines and the main plot was going nowhere, far too many questions and a lack of answers. I picked up series 1 on dvd a couple of years ago and enjoyed it again, i haven't followed it up yet though. Its one of those things i would like to buy but its not essential . |

It took me about two years but I have all the seasons + the two films. The story line is great to follow when you watch all the seasons in order for the first time but now I just go back and watch random episodes. I've really been meaning to pick up The Lone Gunman spin off series because those guys have got to be my favourite characters. It's so expensive everywhere though!

Hmm, I don't really know which I prefer. I think they're both good in their own way.

I'm going to echo Demdike's sentiments somewhat, and say that the first 4 seasons were pretty rock-solid and represented some of the best TV ever made, in my opinion. Things took a rapid downhill slide after that, and aside from the odd few decent episodes here and there, the bulk of the series was just filler to me. The introduction of Doggett was the beginning of the end in my eyes. The final season in particular was all over the place, and the finale so rushed and cobbled together, I was actually embarrassed for Chris Carter. That said, I love the show and nothing that has been produced since has come close to the enjoyment I used to get from watching the X-Files on TV when I was 11/12. Me and my friends used to watch it religiously every week, and discuss Gillian Anderson's attributes at great length. ![]() I actually own all the seasons on DVD and usually go through the series from start to finish every year. I find the last couple a bit of a chore though! As for the comment that The X-Files is better than Twin Peaks: BLASPHEMY! ![]() ![]() By the way, The X-Files geek in me likes your D.P.O. sig, dog. ![]() |

I love The X-Files. Esp the earlier seasons. The show did go a little daft towards the end! lol
