Not going to go into spoilers here but this set of episodes were a fitting finale to the series which I have said on many occasions, the series I didn't want but didn't know I needed.

There were no real cliffhangers with nostalgic flashbacks, I would have put out episodes 11-14 with uploading the fantastic finale episode a week later, let the ending of episode 14 settle and build up the anticipation for the last ever episode.

There are avenues for potential spin offs but nothing to lead into Karate Kid: Legends (I did think that there would be a cameo at the end though)

Overall I remember trying to buy the 1st two seasons on DVD during Lockdown but it was sold out (Ordered Season 1 of The Boys instead, wasn't disappointed by that one) only for it to be back on sale around 30 minutes later. Anyway 2 days later, I was very impressed with what I saw, the nostalgia from one of the earliest Film memories I had when my Mom rented The Karate Kid.

Kreese and Johnny are still some of the earliest film villains I remember and never thought that a series would make me root for Johnny whilst giving the return pop when Martin Kove appeared in the end of Season 1.

I've just come on here to review the series and saw your review, I enjoyed the series up to 4, 5 was ridiculous and annoyed me because of how popular it was I thought it got too big for its boots as the saying goes, but 6 got back on track, I had a few minor niggles, I couldn't take Daniels daughter serious as a fighter, and odd time storyline got a bit silly and Ott, if there's one thing I hate about any series if the constant swapping sides annoys me, friends then enemies, friends again then enemies again, rinse and repeat, its one of my pet hates, during the whole series there's some good decent action and fight scenes, but I do think an odd person wouldn't stand a chance against some of their opponents, apart from a few minor problems imo, I highly enjoyed the whole serious it had some likeable characters even the enemies in series 6.

Reacher Season 2

While an enjoyable season it was nowhere near as good as the first season I liked the story of the drifter coming to town ruffling feathers and kicking ass season 2 feels too US Army Oorah if you get what I'm trying to say there is less of the humor of Reacher and more of his team throwing in their 2 cent worth instead. Also there was too much slow motion walking over generic rock music :lol:.

As I said it was still enjoyable but I'm hoping season 3 which starts on Thursday is less OORAH and more Dr David Banner if you know you know :lol:

I watched the final five episodes of Battlestar Galactica last night.

Mainly enjoyable but with several duff episodes along the way. My eyes were watering as Adama (A brilliant Edward G Olmos) asked for volunteers for Galactica's final mission.

The series was a million miles away from the original seventies series and the entire' teaming up with the Cylons in order to survive' seemed like both a cop out and inspirational at the same time as did the whole series . Less a war with the Cylons and more a drama about the crew of the human fleet.

It was great to see the 'original' Cylons in the final episodes and also 'Razor' .

My overriding feeling now is to watch the original series once again.

I think the series was scramble in the end and rushed to finish to show due to cancellation.
Yeah, I'll watch the original series again after this as well.

I didn't know it was rushed. It seemed fine to me. Satisfied with how it finished.

The whole follow the yellow brick road to the opera house was a bit tiresome anyway. :lol:

Loved the episodes with Admiral Kane and the mutiny double header during the final series.

The Counterfeit Man ( 1965 )

A group of astronauts on a voyage back to Earth, realise that one ( or more? ) of their crew have been taken over by an alien life force, able to replicate humans.
Good sets, an early performance from David Hemmings, plus some gooey effects courtesy of Bernard Wilke, make this a good place to start if you?re watching this series for the first time. This was the second episode. The first - No Place Like Home - is pretty naff.

TO Lay A Ghost ( 1971 )

A woman and her photographer husband move into a new home in the country, with the woman ( Lesley Anne Down ) suffering from ghosts of the past, having been attacked in the woods as a schoolgirl years ago. But is there an actual ghost in the house?
By the fourth ( and final ) season, OOTU had gone from a sci fi series into themes of the psychological and supernatural - this being a good example.
Which makes it all the more frustrating that a lot of this series were junked. Well done, the BBC! 🙄

I watched the first two episodes of DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN.
So far so good for me. This is more in line with the Netflix series which is a good start. How far they will go with the violence? Early days yet.

rewatching Black series, one of those series you just can?t help getting addicted because it?s such a great series that?s so well written and satire taking digs at how or where modern life is or going.
There a new series due sometime this year.

Started watching American Gladiators on Prime mullets muscles and spandex and that's just the female Gladiators. Gladiators is awesome but 80s Gladiators is AWESOMERRRRR

Adolescents on Netflix starring Stephen Graham,
He really is one of the best actors around and extremely under rated, uck all these American and Hollywood actors give me him any day of the week, everything he plays he plays so well and with always a touch realism,

Its about modern day knife crime where his son has been accused of killing a girl in his school,

Each episode is all
One scene like a continuous take-with no visible cuts, no breaks in time.
One camera
One angle
In real time,

Its such such a powerful hard hitting series with minimum effort the tonne and music score is what makes it work so well.

First episode the arrest
2nd all about the school and trying to get answers,
3rd all talk being analysed is seems a bit slow but its all done deliberately.
4th the family and how they coping with the dad slowly breaking down.

Absolutely recommended.

Sttarted binging 24 season 5 again, first time in donkeys years. Still great stuff. :nod:

Never seen a episode of it despite owning boxset on dvd.

Rewatched Gangs of London, but tbh not sure if Im arsed about 3rd series, I liked the first, and 5th episodes of Storming the Cottage was great piece of action.

Billy dont make me laugh, about as much use as a colander for holding water, and couldn't fight his way out of a cloud. But wants to take on Elliot, like me trying to take on the Rock or someone.
Elliot, not a cat in hell chance he gets out alive from the building in Paris,
And the storylines of hating each other and trying to take each other out and shooting everyone up then suddenly working together annoys me.
I know they're far fetched but even a slight bit of believability would help.
I don't know if programmes and films are getting beyond believability or just me being less tolerant of Ott's ridiculous action.
At least years ago films and TV shows weren't this far-fetched and had some touch of realism to them.
