I've just started watching the USA remake of HOUSE OF CARDS starring Kevin Spacey and the only thing I hate about it (and I hate this in every film / TV show that does it) is where Kev talks to the screen / camera. I am on to ep 4 in Season 1.

Ian Richardson does that in the UK version and I quite like that they carried it over to the US series.

So Ive got past the 'twist' and now left thinking this show should have been broadcast in B&W. Its become very 50's B-movie in a good way.

The Howerd Confessions (1976)

Classic comedy starring Frankie Howerd in which he confesses to indiscretions throughout his life in the form of half hour plays.

In the first one he goes to hospital to have a simple tonsil procedure and comes up against Joan Sims as the ward sister and Madeline Smith as the voluptuous nurse.

I can honestly say i haven't laughed as long or as loud in ages. Frankie's double entendres and innuendo remain so funny to this day.

I turned it off after one episode as this is comedy to be treasured and savored.

Over the past few months Ive seen the following:

Dominion S1 - Disappointing!
Penny Dreadful S1- Has its moments but some episodes can be really dull.
Game of Thrones S1,2,3,4,5 - Excellent, now reading the first novel.
The Last Ship S1 - Started out OK but then took a bit of a nose dive.
The Strain S1 - Not too sure about this...There is something I don't like about this and I cant quite put my finger on it.
Defiance S1 - I like this, it isn't great but it passes the time.
Fawlty Towers S1,2 - "Is not rat, is Siberian Hamster!" classic!
Modern Family S1,2,3,4,5,6 - The earlier seasons were better!
12 Monkeys S1 - Again it isnt great but it did pass the time, the movie is better.
U.F.O S1 - Nostalgia value really. Some good episodes some slow and dull.
Jag S7 - Still doing it, got a little bored with it for a while but have since managed to finish the season.

Jag S8
Moonlight S1
