I know you did, there was no confusion.

I meant the confusion about the use of 'TV', but didn't phrase my reply very well.

Too late - it has been done!

Just finished watching Dexter for the second time. Overall I enjoyed it but the decline in quality post Season 4 is even more apparent on a rewatch (although the first half of Season 7 is great). Still it's never less than watchable...until the final season. Season 8 is just so very, very dull. I can forgive massive leaps of logic, in fact I can forgive a lot, one thing I can't forgive is dullness. This is a series about a serial killer, it shouldn't be boring yet half way through Season 8 my attention started drifting elsewhere. As for the finale, hmmpphh.

It's a shame that the show couldn't maintain the quality of the first four seasons, if it managed that it'd be top tier television. As it stands, it's still a good watch albeit one with diminishing returns.

I gave up on Dexter half way through series one for the same reason i gave up on Six Feet Under following it's first series.

You'll probably get the link between the two.

I'm assuming Michael C Hall ? I love Six Feet Under and I think he's superb in it, he's helped by some sublime writing. I think he's pretty good in Dexter, but some of the writing really doesn't help him, I think they regularly changed show runners and it shows, there are major tonal shifts in the latter seasons.

I also think Hall was great in Cold In July.
