That's the thing. I do like superhero tv shows. Smallville, and Arrow are excellent. I like the way tv series expands everything, letting you get to know the characters reasons and motivations.

It's not that i don't like characters such as Iron Man etal, i do, i just don't like the way everything is thrown at the screen in kitchen sink style in a similar fashion to the Transformers films.

Coming at this as a big fan of the Marvel film and connected universe malarkey Agents of Shield did nothing for me, there's nothing really wrong with it but it was just a bit of a chore. I did start Series 2 but gave up after 2 episodes.

It's been shipped already, so i think i'll watch Avengers Assembly this weekend (had it since the day it came out and never bothered with it) then crack on with Shield.

At a mere £6.50 for 22 episodes or whatever it's decent value for money. I can always get rid if i don't love it.

So you've never actually watched Avengers Assemble?? What is your dislike for these films based on then Dem? Avengers Assemble and CA The Winter Soldier are the two that tie in the most with Agents of Shield.

Surely it must stand on it's own two feet as a series after the first couple of introductory episodes.

Captain America The First Avenger. Absolutely awful. I thought it was a spoof by Parker and Stone.

For the record.

The Hulk was good. I know it has nothing to do with the current films.

Ant Man was promising but then descended into crash, bam, wallop.

I don't go round with a closed mind, i'm open to watching anything. I quite fancy Guardians of the Galaxy actually.

Really hope Nordy does a superheroes top ten Tuesdays soon.

Yes it does, by and large it's independent, just pointing out the two main films that tie in to it.
Iron Man 3 is very good, but don't bother going back to the second one it's shit
Winter Soldier is better than First Avenger(which i do like but i get why some might not)
Which Hulk? The Ang Lee film or the Edward Norton starrer?
Ant Man? Well the crash bang wallop involved Thomas the Wank Engine so i think it deserves some credit for involving the little tooty blue bastard in a major Hollywood film.

And Guardians is probably the best Marvel film, largely independent, and quite irreverent.

Been working on Networks Thriller boxset, thought I'd best mention a few episodes.
I've watched the first 4 so far, they vary from good to brilliant, my favourite being episode 4, can't remember the title but it involved an American businessman on his first ever trip to London who suddenly starts to call his wife Theresa and seems to be losing his mind. The ho so English private detective with a taste for bourbon was an excellent character. Someone at the Top of the Stairs (ep3) is also excellent, a creepy little tale of two students who rent a room in a strange boarding house in London and slowly start to notice their fellow houseguests are all a little odd.

Well the Edward Norton version. The Incredible Hulk is part of the MCU. Tony Stark even turns up at the end.
