Slightly obsessed with Death in Paradise at the moment. It is an oddly addictive programme and kind of daring in the fact that both the lead coppers, other than being middle class, have no inner demons to battle or axes to grind with the powers that be. I can't decide if it is a quaint little throw back to more innocent television times or a deeply subversive critique of modern, post neo noir police dramas where being grumpy is seen as depth of character.

I'll try Episode 2 of American Gods after work...

However, I've been watching Scenic Train Ride documentaries produced by the Japanese channel NHK I'm turning into an old man. I'll be buying Fred Dibnah DVDs off Music Magpie next

Anything like that i could happily doze off watching. Simon Schama's A History of Britain is a good example. I'm very familiar with everything stone age about Britain, but everything after is a mystery.

I sometimes wonder, given the joint taste in horrid soft rock and now this, if Dem and Justin are the same person.
