Snappier than the 43 series, slightly shorter episodes also.

Well Goku has finally become a super saiyan and defeated Frieza but the battle could of easily been five episodes shorter.

Having just watched it again, I can say I thought Whitechapel was great... up until season 4. They started going in a potentially very silly direction with all the hints of supernatural shenanigans, and I can see why it got canned. You can't just change a show's genre four years in and expect the audience to go along with it. Shame, as I really enjoyed it till then and it was a good stab at doing urban gothic in a modern setting, which is kinda hard.

ARROW S6 EP14 - "Collision Course"

Quentin hides Laurel away while both teams come to blows in the search for her.

Another great episode. Arrow remains on a constant high and is still the best of the CW's DC shows.

watched the pilot of sense8 which people seem to rave about, but i just found it to be awful with dreadful acting a cliché ridden story and characters and awful sterotypes, will not be watching any more.

Apart from more Columbo, which I've been thoroughly enjoying, I watched Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, a three-part series which I haven't seen in years and enjoyed much more than last time, probably because it's not been long since I watched Blade Runner and so was able to see the obvious (and acknowledged) influences, something which becomes a plot point in the third episode/act.

I watched the first episode of Requiem last night, which establish is things very well and I hope the remaining five episodes will live up to the promise of this. I heard the last episode is a bit of a mess, but intend to watch it with an open mind and probably in a short period of time.

After that, I had a bit of time before I planned on sleeping so opened the Tales of the Unexpected boxset which had been in its shrinkwrap on the shelf since it arrived last June. The first episode is 'Man from the South' and it was odd watching this because, when I watched almost exactly 2 years ago, I found 'Man from the South' episode from Alfred Hitchcock presents, so it didn't take me long before I remembered how the story ends. Even with that knowledge, it's a really enjoyable, and surprisingly tense, way to spend 24 minutes.

I had no idea when Tarantino used it in Four Rooms that it was by Dahl. I just thought it was a lovely bit of macabre fun. T'was a long time ago though when i saw Four Rooms at the cinema.
