Bargains At Poundland!

bit of a disapointment this year in way of titles

Just picked up Gnaw, Alone With Her and Death Tube. They also had Shadow of the Vampire and the in2film release of NOLTD. They have Halloween stuff in but no horror DVD display like last year.

They were restocking the DVDs last time I went into Poundland. I lingered for as long as I could without seeming suspicious, but eventually had to flee.

Picked up Them from my local the other day:

My local Poundshop had the Spanish Eternal Blood, worth a punt, but the till gave the buzz of death " sorry sir, that item is withdrawn from sale" but I asked if I gave a pound they could scan something else, and presto 1 dvd.

Once I wanted to buy Phantasm (which was a 15) from Poundland when I wasn't 18 and the guy at the till said that the system says the DVD was an 18 so I couldn't buy it. FFS it's a 15. Eyes can be used.

I've been ID'd for an energy drink in Poundland before, they have odd tills I guess.

I still get that in some shops. It's so annoying. In fact I think once in Home Bargains when I was actually 18 I couldn't buy one because I had no I.D.

Just got 'Deadgirl' from the Basingstoke branch

When I bought the DVD, as well as a receipt, I got something saying (basically) if I spend £6:00 in store, I will only be charged £5:00 - i.e get a pound off when you spend £6:00 or more

Times must be hard if a poundshop is offering money off vouchers!
