Bargains At Poundland!

... are currently stocking Hellinger and Dead Creatures

Any good before I waste 2 quid?

Not sure about Hellinger but I really enjoyed Dead Creatures - it's a bit like a kitchen-sink zombie film if you can imagine such a thing!!! Quite gory in places as well if I remember rightly. A novel zombie film and worth a quid I reckon :)

I've been avoiding the ones with no 'names' assosiated with them. After the awful aquanoids.

My local poundland seems to have bumped the Hardgore display to make room for the new christmas stock. I popped in today to see if they had any of the next lot of titles. I was banking on getting a copy of 'Cat in the Brain' for a quid aswell :(

Damn I was going to Derby to check them out next week as well !.

Oh I live in Derby and was at the here Poundland yesterday...no new horror titles there I'm afraid! :(

gore64 4th October 2008 03:35 PM

My local Poundland had some Penthouse titles the other week. They sold like hot cakes.

I'm waiting for Axe to appear, maybe round Halloween. This is the Harry Novak film from the 70s, but the previous edition was a 2 discer.

What ones do they have in derby, before I bother paying a visit, I'm still trying to get cat in the brain and all the other good ones.

Me and my girlfriend were in town this morning and I dragged her into poundland as I decided to give it another try. Good job I did as they'd put a load of new stock out. Got Cat in the Brain, Creepozoids, Nightmares come at night, Demonium, Maniacal, Cannibal Detour, Patrick, Strange Behaviour, Hellinger, Dead Creatures and Red Monks. I'm sure all the other branches'll get them in eventually, it took a few days for the Leeds one to.

I've seen the UK DVD of Maniacal which has been cut by the BBFC.

Still a very violent film.
